The award ceremony took place in Tokyo at the former residence of Earl Ogasawara on March 23, 2007.

Organized by JDP the Good Design Award is a comprehensive program for the evaluation and encouragement of design.
The main aim of the Design and Business Forum is to enhance the relationship between business and design.
For three years since 2004, the Good Design Award has been given to approximately 100 top companies which make the most of design for their business strategies.
